#FediLZ Kontakte gesucht: Wir sind eine Schule, die auch auf den Clients Open Source Software einsetzt. Im kommenden Halbjahr starten wir in die 1:1 Ausstattung für Schüler*innen.Ich suche Kontakte zu anderen Schulen, die das ähnlich machen oder die unter Windows in 1:1 Ausstattung überwiegend freie Software verwenden (die verfügbare Software ist unter Win und Lin ja recht ähnlich).

@chrichri Danke Dir - kenne ich natürlich. Ich war mit Digitalcourage auch im Mailaustausch und ich dachte eigentlich, ich hätte uns da auch eingetragen als Supporter - muss ich nochmal nachprüfen.Was ich aber suche, nämlich eine Schule mit Erfahrung in 1:1 Ausstattung mit LInux-Geräten, ist extrem selten. Der Kontakt nach Österreich ist aber super - nur leider weit weg.

@gnulinux Weißt du, ob ich in Arch Linux stressfrei auf die LTS Version umstellen kann? Ich würde auf meinem Arbeitsrechner gerne nicht so schnell Plasma 6 bekommen. Und: Hast du eine Ahnung, ob es auch eine KDENeon Version gibt, die die LTS Version verwendet? Wäre gut für die Schule.

@gnulinux Ergänzung: Xournal++ läuft ja auch auf Tablets mit Stift (auf dem Microsoft Surface Go zum Beispiel), sowohl unter Linux als auch unter Windows (unter Linux i.d.R. etwas besseres Schriftbild).

@tuxedocomputers Hallo Tuxedo, vielen Dank für die Antwort. Für Schülerinnen und Schüler können wir allerdings keine hochpreisigen Geräte empfehlen, deswegen kamen Tuxedo-Rechner bei uns bisher nicht in Frage.Gibt es da vielleicht einen Rabatt für Bildungseinrichtungen? @mfeilner Von den Anleitungen, die ich gelesen habe, ausgehend, sind Chromebooks nur mit Tricks vom USB Stick zu starten, das ist unpraktikabel für uns (wir arbeiten mit dem Lernstick).@w_wobble @tuxedocomputers @JohnnyThan @purism @system76

@mfeilnerIch bin gespannt. In meinem Eingangspost schrieb ich extra "keine Chromebooks", und das nicht ohne Grund.Wir haben ca. 150 Schüler pro Jahrgang, wir möchten aus Datenschutzgründen eine Trennung von Privat- und Schulsystem. Daher starten wir Windows/Linux Geräte vom USB Stick. Das Umstellen eines typischen Win-Gerätes dauert etwa ein- bis 2 Minuten. @thweyrich @JonathanMBR Music seems to be the funniest subject ever.I wrote a class test about a bach fugue, one task was to name the keys each part of the fugue was in (like a harmonic minor and stuff like that).One student was toally lost, but funny, he wrote "klingonisch moll", which rhymes to "harmonisch moll" , translation would be "klingon minor" instead of "harmonic minor", it's funnier in german.

@thelinuxEXP Hi, I'm just filling out the form. My main pc is from a major manufacturer (lenovo), but came without windows pre installed, there is no option for that. I specifically ordered it like that, because it saved me 150€.Also, I have more than one pc, I use wayland on one and x on the other, I chose x because that's my main pc, but I don't consider myself to be "stuck" on x.
