mastodon isn’t better than twitter, people just use more words when they want to be nasty, they hide it behind it a veneer. and there are more of them, sneering and ready to mansplain at every turn. twitter is vastly more honest

@thomasfuchs @masukomi @alltherum many of the people asking for QTs *are* marginalized groups. so far i’ve seen black mastodon users, disabled users, and journalists, including taylor who gets tons of abuse.it’s as easy as taking their word for it.

@simon @jwz the technique of looking at a ton of them and figuring out the patterns of address.i’ve only done NLP on unstructured data, what other kind is there? otherwise it’s just database stuff.
