       i used to think about how much worse things could get, especially when they were pretty bad, and feel such lingering terror. it felt like an infinite descent into a darkening ocean depth.now when i sense that, or when i imagine what could get worse next, alongside it is the knowledge of how much stronger i can get. every grim fork in the road ahead is another mountain to traverse. nothing means you have to stop.
