@EU_Commission, please, use only western characters when posting in a western language like English. This is what some of us see when you talk to do that.

@kingu #Firefox, because it's been so for a long time and I'm used to it. Even in Android.

@Polychrome, if you have VLC installed you may start it in TUI mode with the command `nvlc`. Then type `h` for help.

Once again, John Oliver making things clear with humor, wit and a big heart. Yes, you can feel the pain and fear of people on both sides of the war. Yes, Israelis are not Netanyahu and Palestinians are not Hamas. And yes, definitely, a cease fire is not the solution but it is a first step in the right direction.https://youtu.be/pJ9PKQbkJv8#JohnOliver #LastWeekTonight

@tuxedocomputers Voted LibreOffice, but GIMP is also indispensable.

@tuxedocomputers As long as it's open, the code's language is irrelevant. Choose the language that suits the project well and that you/your team are most comfortable using.

@protonprivacy Ok, so I read the (long) blog post and it is less scary as this Mastodon post seemed to imply. I don't think there will be an AI option in ProtonMail in the near future, so I'd rather not panic now.Anyway, I think Proton should really try to understand its demographics before including such an option in its products. Privacy conscious and AI lovers populations don't seem to overlap much, in my opinion. The replies to this post are an example of that.

@BrodieOnLinux This looks like a pissing contest and nobody over 12 should want to be involved in a pissing contest, specially if you are a big commercial enterprise like #Canonical. What's the best strategy to win a case like this? Rebrand! Change the name of distro (call it Lxbuntu or whatever), change the logo, announce it on the Canonical website and on social media. In one year Lubuntu would go the same way OpenOffice did: Oblivion.

@danilo Most work cannot be done remotely. Farming, mining, building, cleaning, cooking, transporting... Remote work will always be the privilege of a few.

@BrodieOnLinux Because I'm still on i3 over Ubuntu 22.04. It works and I have been lazy updating.
