@scathach I can't be overly excited about *BSDs, to me they feel more or less like Linux, so I'd rather keep looking for a better replacement, maybe even Darwin is worth considering

@newt oh, I've just realised it's been exactly 20 yearssince I bought my first book¹ on Linux and bunch of install CDs¹ translation of this one: https://www.amazon.com/Linux-Administration-Handbook-Evi-Nemeth/dp/0130084662(I've actually read most of it, which was unlikely for a book back then…)

@newt anyway, they could just allow C++ as such but constrain what constructions can and cannot be usedthen again I don't expect much from somebody who recommend against GNU Coding Standards and require indentation by tabs…

@kaia maximum voltage doesn't really matter, the insulation even of thinniest of the cables is good enough, what is important though is the maximum current, and theoretically you can damage a cable or connector by driving too much current through it, if the power source has lower than expected internal resistance
