@mekkaokereke I agree with the points you’re making.And I get the use of Boston and San Francisco as easily understood placeholders.I’ve live in and around Boston my entire life and have traveled to lots of other places.The racism in Boston isn’t any worse than other places; it’s just different in ways people from other places generally don’t grok.

@mcmullin @mekkaokereke Racism in Boston is well-intentioned, professional white people who do next to nothing about racism in their sphere of influence even when they’re well positioned to do so.For a long time, Boston racism was a black theocracy beholden to the white power structure, keeping the heat off the mayor (Menino) and city council.it’s all the hoops you have jump through to get basic things done while others can make a single phone call.
