@joel I’ve been here a while and am on a larger instance. I spend about half my time in my home timeline and the rest in saved hashtags. I only occasionally pop in to the local and fed feeds.

@strypey this got me thinking as someone in a similar position. I wonder if the problem is that the world seems so complicated now? It’s hard to focus on anything with so many problems from all directions. The mainstream, or elite, or ‘authority’ have done a great job of muddying the waters with whataboutism and playing subcultures off against each other.

Successful trip to the dump recycling shop. Went to pick up some plant pots (I refuse to buy plastic pots new but reuse old ones), and came away with some new treasures.I couldn’t leave this book on the shelf. @strypey this is an excellent explanation of the situation from all sides. For the last couple of years the Fediverse has felt like a refuge from the toxicity of T. While it is great to see some friends arrive here it comes with some trepidation.
