@architect code size is due to static linking. Rust is generally on par with C on performance and provides very needed safety. I just played with rust on the hifive1 riscv board and the compiler caught and error... Me trying to use the same physical pin twice.

@architect if you want really small static binaries try freepascal with the -Xx -Xs flags.

@architect Rust's safety mostly costs 0 during runtime. That's the beauty of it, it's all compile time checks. I confirmed this with embedded rust on riscV. My code uses nice abstractions on top of things like SPI and GPIO pins, but the actual assembly code produced is same as if you'd write directly to said memory regions by hand.

@architect this is really unhealthy. Zero calorie anything (except water) is pretty much poison and energy drinks are the worst. Do you take amphetamine for ADD? I'd suggest getting some fresh air at least every second day + a bit of exercise and drinking only water. Did wonders for me.

Is it possible that the recent db issues on this instance caused unexpected missing fields in some json payloads? The mobile client i use crashed so i debugged it and found that notifications had status: null in them i fixed the crash with a workaround but am wondering if the data is valid.

@architect YAML is the human readible middle ground. It's more expressive than a flat key value pair such as .ini but still unencapsulated unlike json so it fills a wide range of use cases.I find yaml ok when used on low complexity stuff, but it becomes terrible when used for anything more involved.

Mainly rent. Most people of today's generation won't be able to ever own their own real estate by design. Cars, consumer appliances etc. will follow. I suspect they'll get packaged into lease deals.
