I just happen to have the "luxury" of being heavily anti-car in the city which is in the largest degree responsible for exporting that plague to all the corners of the world. Despite that, there are still some bright spots if you know where to look, and I think people are starting to (slowly, granted, but surely) realize what's actually going on.

@shmibs@tomo.airen-no-jikken.icu @Moon@shitposter.club Yeah, it's all mainlined open stuff nowadays. AMDGPU for newer cards and radeon for older cards. Literally no reason to use catalyst/fglrx unless you have old cards and you're a glutton for punishment (as for AMDGPU-PRO, it can safely be ignored for most stuff)t. absolutely no issues with AMDGPU on any of the machines I've used it with (RX580 on my old desktop, 4750U on my laptop, 5700G Vega 8 on my current desktop)
