       @molly0xfff unrelated but great podcast too. I’m an optimist for the potential, although think we are far from anywhere near there and it really feels like we should at least know what “there” even  looks like. I find the hardcore crypto people almost never provide a satisfactory explanation of the “what” or the “how”. I also push back on this concept of “just let us build”, my focus is the legal side and don’t have any expertise in societal issues but have been reminded over the few days of some issues in this space. I don’t know what you end up with if you “just let us build” in a culture where far too many people appear to be responding to Twitter feeds about SBF by cracking jokes about and posting doctored images of a woman he used to date. I realise she was involved but the tone of this is very uncomfortable. I know some are quite observant of these cultural issues particularly in the tech space but tbh I’m not and I’ve never observed it before to the point where it seems obvious that’s not really a response I would have expected reasonably well known people in the space to endorse. But I digress, hardcore crypto people aside, I often find critics also don’t articulate their position particularly well. However, you definitely do this, very well reasoned and I agree with every point despite my slight optimism for an (increasingly distant) future. Wild that it was recorded before FTX, very validating.
