@crushv I know it's a bit out of the blue, but could you image that CD sometime? Material from this early is very hard to find, especially concerning the Hurd and Lites.

@crushv Remember when Motif was still a relevant product that Linux distributors had to sell? I don't either.

@karen So can I be classed as an insufferable hipster for using Misskey before any of these nerds? These are the questions that keep me up at night

@lain Because Mastodon had NIH over the existing OStatus solutions and Misskey literally wasn't even intended to federate with Mastodon-compatible networks (tm) until the last minute (this is at least my understanding of it, someone who is more knowledgeable about both may fill in as they please)

https://archive.org/details/WinHEC2000 Probably not that interesting to most of you, but I'm starting to image all the assorted CDs I have laying around within reason and uploading them to the Internet Archive.

@calvin Yeah, unfortunately parents disposed of most of the stuff in the basement before I could image it, but I still have like 3 racks worth of CD-Rs I can go through and probably other stuff I'm forgetting elsewhere.

@dd86k JavaScript was a literal weekend hack because Eich didn't have anything better to do but poorly reinvent Scheme in the browser.

@lain Lots of FOSDEM talks and the like, but to be honest I find peertube pretty boring and I don't use it much as a result of that.
