Sunset in Kisarazu, ChibaWas out at one of my fave sunset spots yesterday, It's across the other side of Tokyo Bay, in Chiba Prefecture. Takes 40mins from our place in Ōmori, Tokyo. Was with a couple of friends who haven't been able to come to Japan since pre-pandemic. They'd never been out here. It was a perfect end to the week, all round. Gear used?Nikon D800ENikkor 300mm f/4Hasselblad 503CW with CFV-50c digital back and the Zeiss 80mm and 250mm lenses.#japan #photography

Green Edition: A collaboration with @stevenlawson Sorry this has been a couple of days coming, but it's been a bit hectic here in Tokyo with work and all. Photographed this little critter a couple or three years ago, at a lovely little shrine in the Todoroki area of Tokyo. Loads of nature there and it's a regular tonic for me, balancing nicely the pace of the city. #japan #nature #photography

@boilingsteam Ha. Yeah. The FrankenCamera.Sony A9000 with Nikon to E-Mount adaptor.Mamiya-Sekor 127mm f/3.8 lens, from the old RB67 system I shot back in the day. With a Mamiya to Nikon adapter. Adapter so big because it also comprises a focus barrel, too. Focus on this lens was originally on the body, not the lens. As a rack and bellows. Great setup. Easy to focus. These lenses are razor sharp even wide open.

@boilingsteam Ah. Sure. Working on one now. On the Nikon D800e it's amazing, too. I have some shots from a few years ago which I'll dig out.

Yakatabune #1Was out last night on a restaurant/party boat in the bay and up the Sumida River in Tokyo. My eldest son's workplace threw the bash and asked me along, which was very nice of them.Caught a few abstractions along the way, playing with reflections on the windows and the views outside. Sunrise in the cabbage fields of Kitakaruizawa, back in October of 2011. It'd been a uniquely tiring year and this was our first long weekend away since March. I'd driven out from the pension we were staying in, with the older two kids. We were all keen to see the sun rise.#japan #sunrise

@alandersen Thanks, Al. Very high plateau there, where the fields are. So you get some amazing skies, mists etc.

A very good morning to you all. Wishing you a perfectly positive end to the week! 🌞"Tomorrow & plans for tomorrow can have no significance at all unless you are in full contact with the reality of the present, since it is in the present & only in the present that you live." - Alan WattsPic: Sunset with Mt. Fuji, from the roof of our flat here in Tokyo. Shot back in 2015.

Good morning. A new week begins. Make it a great one. “Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself. Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies. Good morning. Hope your Sunday is going well so far. Here's some cooling winter scenes from a drive in January 2022 over the top at Kirigamine, one of Japan's highest roads at c. 1900mWishing the cool weather here. 3months of 30C+ and I'm more than done with it. Have a lovely day 🙂 #snow #japan #photography

From a dusk walk in our wider neighbourhood. This is Yashio and Shinagawa Seaside. About 15mins walk from where we live in Ōmori, where my daughter and I started the walk. Lovely evening. And an opportunity to get out and have a nice walk at a time that was around 7 or 8 months into the pandemic.#japan #photography
