@encthenet Their article says you can alter these settings from Plex Web, which is clearly not the case for the current FreeBSD version of the server. I had to disable these settings from the iOS app.

@feld @encthenet I also often use Infuse Pro on my MacBook Pro to get HDR support.I run Tautulli to keep statistics. The stats Plex showed me when I disabled this feature were totally broken and old compared to Tautulli.

@ignaloidas @rosyna Apple created F_FULLSYNC and simultaneously demanded changes from every drive vendor they qualified for their products. The ANS controller is just doing the same behavior as existing common practice on HDs. Despite what Hector said, it’s not cheating and Linux is not guaranteeing a flush as Rosyna said — it’s up to the drive controller to behave properly and they largely do not.

@regehr I'm way more interested in IBM's Montana project (Visual Age C++ that was more about ASTs than text files). They pivoted to Java and the useful stuff (C++) vanished.

@aral Apparently they’d bought SeatGuru a few years ago and had already let the data grow stale and we didn’t notice until they just turned it off. The app silently fails searches but the website has a landing page that tells you that TripAdvisor doesn’t value you as a customer and couldn’t figure out how to sell ad space in a successful app that owned its category.

Zuck better have a really good explanation for why “pizza” doesn’t have any results on Threads when misspellings get corrected to the real results.(“Pizza” apparently was the not-so-subtle way that Epstein and friends referred to victims, likely why Pizzagate came about because these ghouls are always confessing through bogus accusations.)
