fun fact I learned earlier today: when styling XML elements with CSS, you can use display: table, display: table-row, display: table-cell, etc. to make elements lay out like HTML tables

Unless you take specific and non-trivial measures, communication over the Internet is not private. Text messages and other instant messaging, email, social media especially. Phone calls. Even if you use end-to-end encryption tools (PGP, Signal, OMEMO, Matrix encryption), someone who steals one of your devices may be able to get the messages. If you want to be in private, meet in person. And, while you're at it, leave anything with a microphone somewhere else while you talk.

I love being able to just click a thing to instantly enter my credentials instead of having to type a passwordI wish more things supported FIDO2 or PGP auth so I could use my yubikey on them

@Johann150@genau.qwertqwefsday.eu ActivityPub has tombstones because there needs to be a stand-in for deleted objects so their references don't break or have to be cascade-deleted; rows whose children may remain interesting after the original is deleted should be able to be emptied of actual data and marked deleted without /actually deleting/ the row and breaking foreign keys, that or do something more complex than ON DELETE CASCADE for those kinds of tables. It's the same thing, for the same reason.

I would not be surprised if, after being thrown a few decades or centuries into the future (which to be clear would be surprising), I discovered SQLite still in active useI would only be moderately surprised to find it in a thousand years
