We were having some issues with Pleroma instances being used to spam Spinster the past few days. I wanted to thank @lain and the Pleroma team for taking these concerns seriously and working to implement countermeasures in Pleroma. The next Pleroma release will have extra security measures (captcha enabled by default) to makes attacks like this much more difficult. This @fdroidorg issue was open for a week and the maintainers didn't consider tagging in me, @mk, @socjuswiz, or anyone else involved with Spinster to respond. So they removed Spinster because of a one-sided story because it's convenient.
