@kelbot I can host multiple servers on my little #ARM #SBC at home while at the same time use it as a fullHD media centre with a 1TB SSD adding no bulk at all. I can even play AAA games on ultra on it using #GeForceNow.

@kelbot After G+ ended I briefly tried to go back to Twitter. But it never really worked for me. Then there were a few years without being enywhere really. A little Insta here, some passive reddit. The IT community was something missing from my life though. I was up to anything, so I went looking whatever has happened with Diaspora, found all the great ActivityPub services and happily dropped anchor here on #fosstodon.

@redstarfish If you're looking for a stable rolling distro, give #opensuse #tumbleweed a try. I've been using it on my work machine for many months and haven't come across any system problems. Altho, the automatic #btrfs snapshoting would probably quickly solve it anyway.

Basicaly there are 3 types of #christmas people. Those who feel lonely, no matter whether alone or in a group of other people; those who pretend they are happy, because everyone is supposed to be happy, amirite? And those who really are merry and jolly even tho there are people suffering all around them. Step down to the underworld of your own mind and see which one of these suits you the most. Don't be afraid to be honest with your own self.

@kev My point is, the trully happy people are usually the ones not being swayed by others to act festively. The others are just hiding their true feelings. Usually unknowingly. And I'm saying that being one of the lucky few not having to act as a part of the sharade.

@kev That's not the story of the people I volunteer to work with. Usually it's more like "I ended up shouting that I hate everything and crying" because they just can't handle the pretence anymore. I'm not forcing anyone to actively do anything, I'm just pissed about people forcing their customs on others because I see the direct harm.

@Foneguy89 How about hospitals having their hands full with very contagious disease, so they had to lower their rates to not endanger other patients and staff alike? Working in the special conditions of pandemics needs to be much more unhurried. Especially so if the staff has to work more and longer shifts.

@Linux4Everyone I use Vivaldi on Manjaro (KDE) anyway. I don't have a problem using non-open-source software if it's good, I'm used to pay for quality. I also use Sublime Text, Reaper and Steam. They're obviously doing things right (for me). So why not have the choice of distro for people like me?

@lps I'm a sysadmin and I still use YUNoHost for me and my friends (even previous job), because it saves so much time and effort managing many little instances with a single login.
