At this point, the only thing that systemd can't do, is make me a coffee. And honestly if I try to test that, it might work out.

@BrodieOnLinux Hi, thanks for the invite but all I had to say about this was in the post. I am also not involved with Flathub directly and don't want to speak on their behalf, cause regardless people will interpret it as such.I would love to see an interview of @razze and other folks however! Will be looking forward to your video!

@BrodieOnLinux @mattdm About the verified part, it wasn't out of context cause it came right after saying there are *No* reviews, as in, none at all was the implication. When you hear it like and the implication is that everyone uploads things with no oversight, it quickly becomes to same quality guarantee as Twitter's blue check mark and useless.Perhaps I should have phrased it a bit better and expanded into it in the post but I thought it would have been fine since it was back to back.

You don't get to own Xorg. It belongs to the X.org foundation and community.X.org literary hosts and runs Wayland and WestonXorg is dead and we killed it. And nobody regrets it.

To elaborate on this.Xorg is dead, not abandoned. It still receives the attention of maintainers. It's goal has changed to now be as reliable as possible and to fix incoming CVEs.To pretend you rebooting Xorg or you are a maintainer is outright disrespectful to all the existing Xorg contributors, maintainers and their wishes.Comparisons to Keith Packard and XFree86 are especially vomit inducing. It works wonderfully though as a reactionary honeypot. Thank you for that.

Imagine the unbelievable circumstances that had to take place for an entire community of 100 or so developers across the whole stack, to agree that x11 is a dead end and nobody be willing to ever touch it again regardless the stake they have in it.

The Linux circlejerk has a "Great Man/Company theory" problem.Every time there is an issue, they all go around clinging to the one company that "finally" will put some resources into fixing them. Endlessly hyping them up and elevating them to a deity status. It happened with Canonical in the past and how it was "single handedly fixing GNOME".More recently its Valve and how "they have graced with gaming and fixing Wayland"Like sure I appreciate everyone, but its a team effort you know.

I swear to god, docker was a regression in more ways than it was helpful.Root by default, privileged by default, everything relies on having the same uid inside the namespace as outside, no service manager inside the container cause god forbid you could manage and debug things with systemd. Unholy dockerfiles that execute random inline bash that does who knows what, are not reproducible, rely on distro packages for everything else. And people hated the alternative so much they went with it.

Brought to you by trying to figure out what happened to a process inside a container/pod in openshift, only to be confronted with the reality of "ps aux" is how you manage things inside the container.

Behold our glorious container entry point and service managementLike I am not even mad at whoever came up with this, cause its all fucking docker's fault to begin with.Jesus Fucking Christ this field is an absolute joke. Court jesters is more of an engineering discipline than software engineers.
