@jeff @atomicpoet I hear you. Mastodon will never become a mainstream social network if the problems are not dealt with, so the options are:1) centralized social will keep winning, 2) some other decentralized platform will figure out how to solve moderation and communication safety, or 3) developers on Mastodon figure out how to solve the problem.

Latest financial data from Russia: 1. Russia has the highest budget deficit since 1998, when it last became insolvent. The deficit was €23B in January 2023.2. Government income from oil & gas decreased by 46% from Jan 2022. Other tax income shrank by 28%.3. At the same time the budget spending increased by 60% due to the war.4. @lauren @Breedlov @Setok Couldn't agree more, Lauren. I was attacked hard when I joined in late November simply for being an entrepreneur and advocating other entrepreneurs to join. Some people tried to even get my server on the block lists for a specific reason that it was intended for entrepreneurs. I was seen as "wrong kind of person" to join. I'm still here for now, with a belief that decentralized social should be given a chance. So either 1) Mastodon becomes more friendly to users and especially mainstream users who want social discovery like search and QTs, or 2) some other decentralized social platform that enables this should emerge.It does not make sense that the "public square of the internet" is owned by a single corporation or individual. A successful social protocol with many companies and individuals participating is the right approach.

Predictably, #SVB has been sued for fraud by the shareholders. This banking crisis is handled differently from the 2007 one: there’s no bailout for the shareholders or execs, just guarantees to the depositors. @Renegade_GDI @guy @kravietz Larry Silverstein even said on TV that "we decided to pull it", meaning that they decided to demolish the building because it wasn't safe anymore. He leased and insured WTCs 1,2 and 7 two months before they came down. I think insurance scam is valid suspicion here.

@Renegade_GDI @kravietz @guy I’m a pro-Ukraine, pro-American Finn who has lived in the US for many years. I applaud the US support to Ukraine, and hope it continues until a full victory, but I still think the 9/11 official story is fishy. I hope we can carry diverse opinions on such issues based on our own observations.

@Renegade_GDI @kravietz @guy agree with the sentiment, but any physics scholar worth their studies would say a building with small fire on one side doesn’t collapse on itself unless deliberately demolished. They still won’t say the same on WTC7. That’s the fishy part.
