@tarkowski @pluralistic This is a crucial bit and how it ties into "enshitification": oligarchs like to modulate the competitive situation so it suited them.

@KimPerales Here's one of the top ten signs an action is pathological: - It uses a saw blade outside of a saw.Another sign:- It uses a blade intended for wood on humans.Bonus sign:- Reminds us of how a royal regime killed a journalist.

@futurebird But the reverse, that if it's not a problem foe a judge's daughter to work for Democrats it's not a problem if the defendant appointed the judge, is not necessarily true.Once this current snarl is combed out there should be some mechanism to ensure there are judges the president hasn't appointed available to preside over any legal proceedings for presidents. (IMHO)

@futurebird Stanislas Lem - Non Serviam: Is an elaborate satire of the idea of artificial intelligence that gets to the heart of the moral dilemma that true success would create. It is written in the dry style of a book review that might appear in a broad scientific journal sometime in the near future. It discusses the book, Non Serviam, by Professor James Dobb, and through this the field of "personetics", the simulated creation of truly intelligent beings ("personoids") inside a computer.
