Did you know there’s an official government religious corps? It’s called the #military chaplaincy, and it’s fascinating. Through it, the state directly regulates #faith and clergy and, in turn, religious groups gain explicit state recognition and authority. You have to check out Ronit Stahl’s “Enlisting Faith.” I reviewed it here:https://lawandhistoryreview.org/article/andreas-kuersten-reviews-ronit-stahls-enlisting-faith/#law #firstamendment #lawtwitter #lawfedi #history #religion

So now #Stanford, #Columbia, #Georgetown, #Berkeley, #Harvard, and #Yale law schools won’t take part in US News rankings anymore. But does this change anything? US News is still gonna rank everyone and students, firms, judges, etc. are still prolly gonna care about the rankings, right?#Law #HigherEd #LawSchool #LawFedi
