@ashwin @DesCoutinho @IshaKaushik @hackiechan Many are female, domestic & care workers and farm workers too. Documented cases extend across coffee & coconut plantations from Kerela to TN. Many of these workers are also from Assam, Tripura. The real colonisation is happening in Kashmir, last I heard there are plans for an investor summit

I literally have someone in my family born in Assam w/o a birth cert. This is default situation of so many people. WTH is this exercise going to do than harass & humiliate climate refugees, how do you expect people to save & produce such docs. Cruel!!

My experience migrating to Masto from twitter. (I purged twitter but got on yesterday to keep up with whats going on re: CAB/NRC) The ONE major thing I noticed is that soo much of our political education right now is happening through US political lens. Being on Masto I realised how much of that you're sucked into being on Twitter
