Is there a way to have #Nix "dry-run" only a single module?Currently have the problem that I made a PR to #nixpkgs but I'm not able to properly test it locally as my configuration.nix throws errors because of some (for me yet unidentifiable) transient dependency on qt6-full which no longer exists in the master branch...(dry-run as in I want to see the configuration files it generates to verify it does what I think it does)

@phoronix Note, this also applies if you have a single GPU + an iGPU within the BMC or CPU...

@ricci The real question is do we really want to know if the one is caused by the other?

@louis @alina Same, I hate lasers at eye-level. That is the single most dominant reason for why I don't go to such parties...

There is one simple solution to solve this entire picture issue at the #39C3. We just hide a bunch of LiDAR sensors around the entire event space. And if anyone pulls out a camera it will just fry the sensor :p

@discatte Why? Your choices are either doing the capitalism thing and just doubling your prices or being a decent person and just writing "sold out" everywhere...

@foone Have you considered installing some LLM onto it and trying to sell it to the business people that currently appear to throw money at everything that contains that label?

@N33R @green True, except when it doesn't. You can really say either at most it has some regional preferences I'd say...Wir haben bei den Bundesjugendspielen mitgemacht.AberWir haben beim Wettbewerb teilgenommen.

@futurebird They don't also have 10-finger writing? We had that in 5th grade. And it also covered all of the symbols.

@ariadne @lanodan Nah, the "commons" can only destroy itself. The main issue is still the same. There not being anyone that actually validates the code. So people don't just "trust the code" but instead rely on trusting the people. And then because of the current state of geo politics and people trying to place backdoors for their political agenda oh well...Literally all of this could be solved if people would actually check the code...

@foone as long as it isn't "AI Keyboard powered by Foone" that sounds great. Except you're trying to chase some VC funding then it is great too as long as you bother them with the "AI" part :P

OH: Das kannst du in der Prod Umgebung testen. Die nutzt aktuell eh keiner. Die verwenden gerade die Test Umgebung als Prod.WHAT?!?!?/me makes note "why it's a bad idea to name your environments "Prod", "Staging", and "Test".#OH #itsfine #itsecurity #itsec

@N33R Is that actually more optimal? The outer parts are only connected by two thin piece of metal, so they appear to be almost entirely useless...

@Natanox @besendorf Ehm don't you forget the TLS Handshake? The DNS name is sent in clear text for enough HTTPS endpoints (encrypted SNI is still not used everywhere). Same for snooping the TLS certificates (which obviously also contain the correct hostname). Also many things (shitty software, but to some extend also some browsers) have shitty fallbacks to resend the request using HTTP when HTTPS fails. However a VPN is still no "fix all"...

@green @N33R Read the list of possible side effects and counter indications.Could be that they could kill you in combination with certain hearth diseases or conditions*.* conditions being something that would be harmless on its own but not in combination with the specific medication.

@tomjennings Don't book edge scanners just show up as any other scanner to the OS?Also do you have a library near you? Have you asked there if you could use their book scanner? Many libraries have the fancy "V" shaped book scanners that are even better for extremely old books as you only have to open them to something between 40° and 60°.
