@adam I mean, I plan on it eventually. I just haven't cared enough about pc20 lately to do any development. But the subset of people that need it and can use it is rather niche. It's not really webapp friendly and the majority of native apps already use Alby anyway (or don't cater to power users).

@matt @write_as would you accept a minor contribution to the write freely RSS feeds that would expose the AP objects in the feed?We have an existing standard used by castopod/peertube so it wouldn't take much.

Essentially there are a couple of tags from the RSS Podcast Namespace [0] (it’s just an XML namespace, podcast is what we happened to call it for its original use). Overall, the larger vision is to help modernize traditional blog/newsletter (maybe novel/books in the future?) types of RSS feeds and bridge the gap, so to speak, between RSS and ActivityPub for example.<podcast:socialInteract> to let RSS readers know where the ActivityPub object is and optionally interact with it from the client<podcast:medium>blog</podcast:medium> is another option to help with discoverability or indexing if someone wants to create a blog indexing service similar to podcastindex.orgThere are a few other tags related to “monetization” metadata, but probably not worth looking at, at the moment, for this use case just due non-existent support.[0] https://github.com/Podcastindex-org/podcast-namespace/blob/main/docs/1.0.md

@ericpp @brianoflondon Wow, I can't decide if their religious superiority is blinding them or if they really just want to drive fees so high that only they can afford them and effectively control the network.

@ericpp @brianoflondon the absolute irony of the small blocksize... Yeah, more people can store it. But less people can afford to transact as demand goes up.Welcome to the new system of bankers.

@thatlarryshow @RonV42 I use Etar on Android. It's okay and gets the job done. Not aging very well design wise but the function matters more.I think the GrapheneOS devs are working on one. Haven't looked into it further.

@ericpp @mikeneumannI think search and easy discoverability is a good enough reason to want a dedicated medium for this, personally. Current interfaces in traditional apps only surface DJ sets as playlists which are clunky and hard to find.

@harvhat People said the same thing about music.Categories being a bad way to describe what something is is exactly why I created the medium tag in the first place. They are buckets to describe what content is about, not the socially recognized label of what the content is.The question is whether someone might want a dedicated app for said content where manual curation is unreasonable and unnecessary without brittle, hacky workarounds. I think that answer is yes because StevenB is already doing it.@ericpp @mikeneumann

@errhead high availability, geo redundancy, archival, etc. being able to deploy something and being able to support it, and pay for the support, are two different things :)you know, SLAs and such

@js @ChadF @adam @ademan @dave Also expecting users to run their own nodes and apps to use Nostr is a stretch to put it lightly.

You say this as if the likes of Dave, myself, and others haven't done research into the technology that your investors are pushing you to implement. I seriously evaluated it when asked about using it for Podping, even though I was personally attacked for my skepticism. It doesn't provide anything new and everything it does it accomplishes worse than existing technologies.I haven't heard a single good argument as to why we need it. I've tried to find one. The burden of proof isn't on us.

Telling someone they can write a JSON schema and automatically convert it to rust types is not telling them to write an all-encompassing schema to work with all of ActivityPub.But thanks for reducing your frustration to me "mansplaining" because you want to take something out of context to prove a point. Really makes the world better. Love reductionism.
