I was gonna make a follow-up. It started with: "Copaganda film. But at the 30 minute mark the protagonist cop realizes he's just a tool of the ruling class..."And seriously, are there no films like this? NOT a film where the cop realizes there's other bad cops, fights them, but continues being a cop at the end of the movie.I mean a film where the cop protagonist COMPLETELY STOPS being a cop. I can't recall one off the top of my memory right now...

It's hotter than rent. Not even the nights are cool.Today I was outside for 5 minutes and I didn't feel like the sun wanted to kill me. Still, it IS pretty hot. Maybe I'm just too old, and too weak. But five more years of every year being the hottest ever doesn't feel survivable.

Wish mastodon handled boosts differently. I wonder if maybe that's one of the things that hinders Mastodon adoption.If I follow 10 accounts. I would like to only see posts from all 10 of them. But if just one account serially boosts 100 posts then I am seeing 100 accounts I did not follow and may not even wish to see instead of the 10 accounts I actually did follow.I wish there was a SEPARATE feed just for the boosts from the people I follow.(I know about boosts, no mansplaining needed.)

Peeps talk about enshittification, I wish it was called crapitalism instead because it better denotes capitalism as the root problem...Anyway we focus on stuff going bad but how about stuff being consistently good?Signal, for example. Just freaking working day in and day out. It may not be perfect but they haven't tried to sell my data or integrate some fucking AI features yet.I don't remember the last time I donated but I should do so again soon.

I don't get a lot of gender stuff. I do not understand wanting to be something else. Sorry for that.But...The other day, I saw a picture of a 60 year old man. And 3 more pictures, for each year they have been taking HRT.The eyes don't lie, do they? Their eyes went from no lustre, to the unmistkable spark of joy.Their happiness made me tear up a bit.I might not understand gender stuff, but I hope everyone gets to that place of happiness.

#anime #question I don't usually watch magical girl anime, but I remember watching somewhere, for sure more than 10 years ago a particular scene. I would like to find it/know which anime it's from.In the scene, a witch girl on a flying broom dogfights what seems like entire squadrons of aircraft.I figure this scene is not entirely uncommon, but somehow it felt too well animated (to me) to be an episode of something, it felt like movie quality.Any ideas what movie it might be?Thanks!

@GlitchGhost I love this movie! Somehow I dont think of it as "magical girl", because it's more of a cominf of age story for me.But I dont remember it having dogfights.
