@Teri_Kanefield shouldn’t the process be they object to subpoenas after the fact? rather than negotiating (!) with the prosecutor? Why is it a negotiation and not something settled by a judge?I appreciate your reply. I’m (obviously) not a lawyer, but am just another frustrated American tired of the endless special treatment granted to the former administration and its enablers — in other words, the “privilege” you mentioned.

@Teri_Kanefield thank you, I enjoyed the articles and mostly agreed. With regard to the lack of consequences myth, you cite examples of some, but omit that most were pardoned, commuted, or received incredibly lenient sentencing (well below the guidelines — specifically Manafort and how he “lived an otherwise blameless life”). I think these people then using their “consequences” as battle scars and rallying cries undercuts your point. That’s what people are upset about.
