I should dress up more. I don't always put a whole lot of effort into my appearance because "I'm not trying to impress anybody" but I shouldn't be doing it for other people in the first place, I should be doing it for myself. It feels good to look good. And heck, if people keep telling me I have a good fashion sense I should be taking advantage of that. So when I have the time and spoons I'm gonna spend it on dressing better. I think it'll be positive for my mental health.

I want to add more frills to her outfit and possibly a flower motif. I'd also like to find ways to make her outfit reference different mediums, not just painting. Her pose is based on one from Cardcaptor Sakura, and I had the idea to put a Polaroid photograph or something where Sakura would be holding a card. Or redraw her hand holding a camera? That'd be hard... Maybe instead of frills, I could line stuff with film strips? Piano keys? Oh, I could give her a piano skirt! Sewing needle hair clip?

I feel like I'm highly at risk of over-designing her right now ahaha. It'll be a challenge to incorporate a lot of different stuff without it clashing or feeling over-complicated.

In-case anyone didn't notice, her hair is supposed to look like tusks and a trunk like an elephant. I tried to give her hair bits that look like a mastodon's ears (as opposed to elephant ears) but it might be kinda hard to tell. I think the tusks and trunk are pretty obvious though, especially with her hair holding a pallet haha. The design for the hair is inspired by elephant characters from Kemono Friends.

Love when it's abundantly clear that people straight up do not pay attention to what I'm saying, like when I carefully phrase the question "Would you like me to leave room in your cup so that you can put milk in it?" and the guest says "Yes" and then upon receiving their drink comments "There's no milk in this," and I have to explain again that milk is on the sidebar and I left space for them to put it in themselves.

Hidive is streaming #Joshiraku! It's one of my favorite underappreciated #comedy #anime. The first episode is out now, with a new episode releasing each Monday. I'd love it if more people got a laugh from this show. You don't really need to know anything about rakugo for this, but if you want to learn more, Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju is an amazing historical drama about it. So I'm trying to get used to working in #Krita because I want to migrate away from Clip Studio (more on this in another toot at some point). Thought I'd get a little facial expression practice out of the way while I was at it so here's Minako looking pretty upset. I hate to see her like this but these kinds of faces are hardest for me to draw.
