so apparently my Squishable package is lost, the company won't respond to my e-mails, I've been told by UPS to go to the local post office and ask, I don't have time for that, no one cares, no one wants to help, and I'm out $30

I wish I knew someone who lived near one of their stores who could go and see if they have the Festive Dragon (green dragon in a Father Christmas cape) and I'd pay for one and for the shipping at this point.I don't wanna just order another one because it will just get lost.

@lowqualityfacts this sort of discourse - the ordering relatively new members here to do things that they maybe don't even know how to do yet - is one of the things that sometimes bums me out about the fediverse. I get wanting to be socially conscious but yes I am also very tired and I can't monitor everything

@lowqualityfacts though for some of us this is a bit of a CYA; my university disallows us from doing things like writing letters-to-the-editor of newspapers in our "persona" as a college prof (we can as a citizen, but can't refer to the fact that we're a prof) and at times it's been rumored they comb social media for people saying "critical" things
