@PhilGastwirth I'm curious to see how this goes. I was seriously considering getting one for my Linux laptop about five years ago until I found System 76. The deal breaker was that, back then, you basically still had to maintain a windows partition so you could do BIOS updates, but maybe that's different now.

@PhilGastwirth Totally got that, Linux is great but you do have to work within the FOSS ecosystem quite a bit. As for Mac, I'm mixed. Apple makes a rock solid product, but it doesn't offer much flexibility which is part of why I switched to Linux. The takeaway with them is that you won't find a computer with better software-hardware compatibility because the OS is built for a very specific set of (proprietary) hardware. Great performance, but easy to break without the Apple-imposed guardrails.
