@freemoNow, that's darn purdy. Nice work! I love to see evidence that our hobby in radio is a craft.

@freemoLooks nice even if it doesn't have over a hundred turns

@freemoI have a partially built N2PK SWR meter with a similar coupler -- 11 bifilar turns on a toroid with coax is the primary. And hopefully it will work as designed! as I know very little of the theory that goes into their design

@v0idifierSorry, but why is it up to them to come up with "original" stuff? It's open source, if you have ideas put them out there...@dansup

@seanBoy, I can deal with using microsoft and macos at work but in my personal life -- forget it. Make that call to Purism! Now!

@freemoSome cuddles, hah, definitely not what he was looking for! The most comforting thing you could do was exactly what you did leave him be. Poor guy. I don't know why possums seem to have such a poor reputation, cuz they look cuddly to me too.

@seanNo I'm not gonna think about, otherwise I'll have a broken record of it in my head for the next three days. Thanks, a lot

@nonlinearI want to do the CWops courses, they look pretty good, but it's going to have to wait until I finish some grad courses I'm taking. I do occasionally use the CWops trainer to practice on my own. @ND3JRhttps://morsecode.scphillips.com/trainer.html

@filkerdaveSorry, didn't have the time to try listening for you here in Philadelphia. Most of my time until May we be filled with work during the day and two graduate courses at night and on weekends. @nonlinear @ND3JR

@filkerdave @nonlinear @ND3JRThe Mountain Toppers look like nice little rigs. I have a palm paddle (micro?) mounted to the KX3 here, but have decided I'd rather learn with a straight key.

@filkerdaveFor someone who barely knows his ABCs I have a bit of a collection of keys and paddles. I'll have to post some pictures. But not tonight. @nonlinear @ND3JR

@nonlinearA lot of single lever paddles can be used as either a sideswiper or with a keyer. You can kind of have both worlds with them. @ND3JR @filkerdave

@rev_mookThat's a nice looking cap, dare I say magloop? Can't quite tell from the pic is at a butterfly?

@rev_mookWhat's the circumference of the loop if its not considered a magloop? Here's my cap used in a magloop. It measures about 20pF - 134pF. Underneath is the stepper motor controller by the arduino board that connects through bluetooth to an app on my phone.

@rev_mook thanks! Yeah, you can see the smaller primary loop at the top. Here's a close up of it. It's fed on the bottom by the coax. It's hard to tell but it's not a simple loop going from center to shield, though that is one way to do it. In the 2nd pic I have mine circled.
