These little spats give the appearance of divergence between different entities, which I suspect functions to obscure a largely unified power alliance. Israel is non-negotiable and Canada will *never* recognize Palestine. Indeed, Trudeau said directly, "I am a Zionist". That Canada would have a sort of Zionist state ideology is not that remarkable for me; indeed, most/all states have some sort of official / unofficial overarching ideology, whether political-economic, religious, ethno-national, etc. What *is* remarkable to me is the degree to which Canada's identity as fundamentally Zionist must never be spoken of. 2/2
