@jabberati @selea Matrix (well Element, but they're under the same org), coming out as weirdly pro-cop has put a bad taste in my mouth. But I switched from XMPP because it sucked as a modern chat protocol. I'm not sure what else is out there for self hosted solutions.

@aral @laura Even though this doesn't affect Linux servers, I'm feeling pretty vindicated about pushing back so much on installing it in our environment.Though I did eventually relent and install a test, I've just pulled the plug on that...
