       @cattailnu Sonya held her breath.  That path would lead to the catacombs.  She instantly remembered the white knuckled grip Madrina had on her wrist and the wide eyes as she gasped, "Mija, it's not safe.  ¡Nunca vayas ahí!"Sonya found her feet moving, down the path, towards the entrance.  She observed the dank arches and corridors of the catacombs as she walked.  She blinked, dazed as she finally came to a stop.  She blanched as she stared ahead in recognition of spectacle up ahead.

I withdrew my hand, albeit, slowly.  "What happened then?  Talk to me!" I pleaded.I stared helplessly at his back until he faced me with haggard eyes."It doesn't' matter.        @cattailnu I blinked.  "What is it?" I asked as the insectoid machine settled into my palm.  Without looking up from her writing, Gry replied, "That might be the wrong question."  Before I could ask her what she meant, a warmth emanated in my hand.  I glanced down.  The wings clicked until they opened, revealing light discs underneath that rotated, emitting hollow melodic notes.  Bit by bit, the melody morphed into something else.  I froze at the familiarity of the voice."Zeph?" I called out.

       @cattailnu I gazed out at the veranda.  The warm air wafted about like a fog.  I sighed.  Normally, I could enter here whenever I needed to but right now... it didn't help.I sighed.  "Seems I'm predictable, aren't I?" I asked.  I turned to see his grey eyes riveting off of my face.  "I just wanted to check in on you," he said softly.  I lowered my eyes.  "I'll give you a moment alone," he murmured.  "Wait...can you stay with me a while?" I pleaded.  He sat next to me in silence for a while.
