@derek Huh, and here I thought that /bin/sh WAS an actual POSIX-compliant shell...but if it's just a symlink to whatever the hell you have for shell then what exactly is the point of all that nonsense?

@derek Apparently there already is a fork of the project called "Sneedacity" floating on github. Then there are alternatives such as ardour, though that one seems to have some learning curve to it.

@derek Bryan Lunduke had a point when he kept making those "Linux sucks" talks and while some of his points were addressed, others became soyware trash. The only thing that linux still has going for it, is the freedom. Let's hope that will remain.

@derek if you are gonna use blender for video editing, you might as well do it with tools that will improve your experience overall. Namely Blender Power Sequencer plugin made by folks over at GDQuest. Also bpsrender script that uses ffmpeg to render videos faster using all cores, as well as bpsproxy which renders proxies to make editing smoother.
