@mike sadly, for a critical client, we had a 27 hour web meeting for multi-team debugging and fixing last week. I have never done anything like that before.

The safety of #rust or the developer productivity of #golang? Decisions!

@anornymorseSo the argument is, let the steal continue? That also destroys confidence in the process. It would be a cowardly abrogation of the courts function to boot.

@GenenWhat is crazier is that talk of a new declaration of independence are gaining steam and ... it is starting to sound sensible.

@realcaseyrollinsI first heard about tox a few days ago. Are you a user? What is your experience with it?

@realcaseyrollinsHmm... so my current scuttlebutt direction with encrypted private chats may be the preferred way. Not that it does not have issues around identity, but otherwise looks good to a non crypto expert.

@hn50One centralized, censorable source of information for another. There need to be a way to make p2p solutions enticing to the public.

@aIt is called Trump derangement syndrome for a reason. Unreasonable hatred based on imagined actions and faults. Honestly, I don't get how they became this way myself.

@TylerAbeoJordanI don't know whether the exact numbers are correct but the trend is well known. Have some books and lots of hundred thousand dollar payments as speaking fees, it adds up. One does not even need to believe in corruption to believe the trend. The magnitude seems suspect.

@mystikI have to go with @Danbert8 on this. The CDC said this week influenza in 2020 was less than one in 100,000. Previous low was 212 in 100,000. In September they stated that in 94% of COVID deaths there were an additional 2.6 comorbidites on average. That is sourceable, public, verifiable, and way better than anonymous. This is what I would look at if doubting the mortality of COVID. Read their website.@Danbert8 @fluffy

@mystik @Danbert8 @fluffyAdmittedly an organization that had a large percent of its employees try to get racism declared a national health crisis can have its impartiality questioned. But this is where you make your own judgment calls.

@TonyStarkTo be balanced other experts cite studies saying masks are useless. Florida and South Dakota have always been open and have low rates of COVID, so they can be considered rough control groups. It is not a one sided cut and dried discussion. If it was people would not be trying to make the discussion illegal.

@hn250When I was young, say over 40 years ago. Iirc Murdoch buying the wall street journal led to it becoming more like USA Today. Gone was deep financial analysis and here was a lifestyle section.

@peteTechnically it is an attempt to suppress the vote of non- citizens. It's the people who think that is a bad idea who confuse me. @Seccour @jimmysong

@hfaustSure, like Parler or Gab where the companies collude to remove your hosting and merchant services. No, once it is big enough, it is a common carrier. Would you accept all telephone companies saying they do not like you, go build your own network?

@deathpanelsIn the US last I heard 200M doses were promised and 158M have been used. Lots of places now willing to give it to anyone which could indicate lack of demand. 40% of US Marines refuse it, supporting that theory. So objectively I would tend to agree with your speculation.
