@szkodnix No idea when Hedgewars 1.1 will come out. It depends on so many factors and is very hard to predict. I'm not the only one in the project, after all.

@leo I wouldn't say free software is useless.Proprietary software is 100% worse. If free software was useless, then both free software and proprietary software should be equally useless. This is false.But yes, obviously free software alone isn't enough to defeat oppressive surveilance states.Also, we didn't even win at the FOSS front yet either. Hardware is just another battle front.

It has now been 6 days after it has been noticed the official #Mastodon app suggests a single large instance by default, which just happens by run by same people who develop the app. This centralization is very concerning.This change is VERY unpopular.The GitHub issue (no. 1023) that suggests to revert this change now has 422 thumbs up and only 2 thumbs down.Still NO OFFICIAL STATEMENT from the app developers. 😡Thanks to @feditips for bringing this to our attention. 👍

Oh well, the official #Mastodon app doubled down on making mastodon.social the default sign-up server. This is a risky move because this will undeniably make the server bigger than it already is.It is still unclear why mastodon.social, of all instances, was chosen, while there are so many other instances. There are two types of "open source":"open source", as coined and defined by Open Source Initiative. Their Open Source Definition is very similar to the Free Software Definition in principle. This a term with very clear defined rules.And then there's bullshit "open source". This is the term "open source", but completely turned into a meaningless buzzword for marketing. Am I the only one to think that 🎣 #fishing in many video #games kinda sucks? Especially when it's like a side/bonus thing. A lot of the time, fishing is just:1) Use fishing rod2) Wait3) Press a key when something moves4) Repeat until you have lots of fish or other lootI have seen this same mechanic so many times and it's so #boring. Most of time time you spend time staring at the screen doing nothing. Yawn. 🥱#gameplay

I like that the #RedditBlackout is happening. Because it demonstrates how dependent many people have become on only this 1 website controlled by a few rich people.I hope this is a wake-up call for people and it will lead for some communities to seek independence.The Internet is !!!NOT!!! just 5 large websites.I believe in a decentralized Internet; huge central websites with the goal to be a "community of everything" are missing the point of the #Internet.#Reddit
