Just to be clear: If #Google decides it’s okay to no longer send non-Gmail users the ACTUAL #email, but only a LINK to some bullshit #proprietary service that you must click to “unlock” the TRUE contents, then Gmail ceases to be an email provider but is merely a spam service which bullies unsuspecting users into using their proprietary crap.While this seems to be limited to (fake) E2E for now, I’m afraid it could get worse if people do not resist.I know why I don’t use #Gmail.

It frustrates me to read in the news that several organizations have started to #trash many functioning computers just because #Windows 10 was EOLed.WTF. What I like the most about the #EndOf10 campaign is that it DEBUNKS the corporate bullshit from #Microsoft that #Windows users MUST upgrade to Windows 11 or else it's game over for them.This is not just about #FreeSoftware vs proprietary software, but about a destructive ideology that implies producing megatons of e-waste is a good idea.Meanwhile, the FOSS community is LAUGHING at Microsoft's face while installing libre OSes on 19-year old computers.

I knew #SuperTux for a long time. @giacomo I am dying to know what OSI's and FSF's opinion on the #HackingLicense are and whether it will get an "official stamp of approval". FSF seems to have not given an opinion on it yet, can't find what OSI said about it.Why do you think it counts as #FreeSoftware license but not as #OpenSource license?I find the license amusing, it apparenly grants me the right to EVERY copyrighted work? 😂 If only it were that simple …I'm not sure if I like or dislike this license tbh.

@giacomo The reason why I'm torn on the #HackingLicense is because of Condition 1. It stays I must not use the software "in contrast with the Purpose".In my layman opinion, this could be read as a restriction to "use the program for any purpose" (Free Software Definition), or as a "discrimination against a field of endeavor" (Open Source Definition).This reminds me of the debate whether free software licenses should forbid "evil" and the answer was no.
