@joel Actually, the pinetime is pretty tough and the battery can last long. It had several shock (like hurting a wall) and the case and the screen are still une a very good shape after one year. And after one week, the battery is still à 50%. I don't use a lot its features, InfiniTime is, of course, far more limited in features than the big ones. I mostly use its notifications reading and the music player.But yes, the shipping is expensive.

@joel Basically, you can buy the dev kit instead of this version and 3D-print the case you want 😁 The cased version is not supposed to be opened because of its waterproof seal.

Everytime I want to enjoy the docking mode of my #pinephone I'm still annoyed by the USB port that is too short.The docker's cable is always unplugging and does not stay inside the port. I've noticed the connector's length is shorter than the classic usb cable.Anybody else ever had this issue ?

@linmob I was talking about the builtin dock cable, I'm not sure if I've been clear.The only way for me to have this cable staying in place while using the dock is to remove the case. And even like this, it still disconnect too easily :/

@linmob Thanks for the confirmation. Indeed the red cable is very sturdy unlike the dock's cable.It's just too bad it cannot transmit data, I had to use another one to flash the storage.

@kev @ubuntumate Nice setup, and I like the MATE choice. It was my DE while I was still using Ubuntu.(today is Fedora/Manjaro, with Cinnamon on both)The mini ITX tower reminds me my previous HTPC build.

@mike The PineTime battery is just immortal 😁 I could use it a week without charging, it's still at 50%. And I have the same needs as you, + the music player app.

After one month with the new NAS, I've tested new things for me. Such as Plex and the useful associated tools to sort the library (sonarr, radarr).I've ripped all my DVD and BR. Took a while.And I've experimented to make a discord bot that take a youtube url as input and fetch it using yt-dlp.This media center is now quite operational :)

@stfn For the youtube content I've subscribe, I've made a script that reads the RSS feeds from Invidious.Invidious can be a little slow, and the official site is just an unreadable garbage can. Now I have something simple and efficient, just like I enjoy it :)
