@Snowshadow I distinctly remember when Putin was massing troops on the Ukrainian border, all the "experts" were saying, "Oh, they're not going to invade. Putin's just a bluffing". Trump is a Putin acolyte and has proved he's too stupid to foresee consequences to his idiotic impulses.

@stux There's a gigantic chasm between "should" and "will". Who's going to hold Trump accountable for any of all this corruption? Pam Bondi? Kash Patel? The Supreme Court? The Republican controlled Congress? And the one who knows this best is Trump, which allows him to conduct the escalating corruption in broad daylight.

Hallmarks of every authoritarian regime: 1. Secret police force who are heavily armed, hide their faces with a mask or helmet and show no official law enforcement identification when they arrest people and throw them into an unmarked van.2. Use the military to quell peaceful, unarmed protests against the regime.3.
