Both channels are certainly legit because they have a blue  :verified: checkmark.@cnn is the ''Cat News Network' posting, well you guessed it, #cat pictures and news.@FoxNews posting #fox pictures and news. Both channels are occasionally enganged in the  #cats vs #foxes superiority discussion.You can't make this stuff up.#parody

       @trom Unfortunately it is way more sinister than just selling ads. These platforms collect and sell user data. A famous example of malicious misuse of such data is the #CambridgeAnalytica scandal where #Facebook user data was abused to manipulate  political decisions:https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/cambridge-analytica.asp

       @juergen_hubert @mastodonmigration #BlueSky is on the same trajectory as #Twitter due to the dynamics of commercial social media. In the best case, BlueSky finds a way to avoid the depravity of #TwitterX. Unfortunately, the #fediverse is less attractive than BlueSky because it lacks prospects for content monetization  or becoming an influencer.
