@Charlamagne It's a bubble. During GamerGate the SJWs at the vanguard made bank but were too lazy, dumb and myopic to use their period of invulnerability to open doors, develop skills and build a foundation for their futures. Wu has his husband's money to fall back on but is generally regarded as a joke. The likes of Quinn and Sarkeesian seem to be doing okay but there is a wide discrepancy between the upper echelons where they thought they would be and where they are. The same thing will happen with the more vocal figures in the tranny community. Only given their tendency towards narcissism, violence, and criminality, along with their bucket of crabs mentality, the fallout is likely to be more dramatic. It seems that every incarnation of shrill online grifters drags society a little further out of kilter. People need to learn how to draw lines.

In a movement that claimed to be leaderless, this crystallizing celebrity caste was a problem in waiting. Many of the aforementioned individuals now deservedly have threads on the Farms.I think that GamerGate failed because it wasn't able to produce anything beyond a spirited but nebulous resistance, that was easily shaped by its enemies into whatever they wanted it to be, in any given moment. To wit, GamerGaters were either 300 terminal virgins, subsisting on chicken tendies in their parent's basements, or a sinister cabal of hackers, with abilities on par with the guy from the Navy Seal copypasta, who conspired to get Trump elected. It was an undignified slap fight between the naive and moderately-retarded, and an opportunistic but influential minority of super-retarded, blue-haired deviants and wine aunts in waiting. And I was there too!The lessons are obvious:- When a pair retards are fighting, position yourself outside the drool zone and spectate.- If you are going to form a resistance to something, then you need a clear idea of what it is you actually want. ComicsGate, for example, has created its own moderately successful satellite industry that collaborates with Sylvester Stallone and manufactures frog-themed action figures.In hindsight, the only thing that really surprises me about GamerGate was how broad the support for it was across the census demographics. In an era where the term 'diversity' is thrown about for arse pats, GamerGate was incredibly diverse.

@Jim Brooker is an interesting fellow and a bit of a trailblazer. He cultivated that boorish but incisive cultural commentator persona that became a staple of YouTube, years before it was a thing. It was strange watching him continue to rail against the system even as he was slowly absorbed by it. He is a smart man and I am sure he was completely aware of the irony of what was happening.
