I follow a lot of sex workers on the birb and it really is just evident to me that Mastodon can't take the place of it for them. It SHOULD be a less judgmental place but it really doesn't feel like it on many instances.

@lucifargundam @artcollisions Oh absolutely, but there's SO MANY restrictions on many of the instances that make it difficult for them to do business. Or at least terms make it seem like it's an issue. That's the feedback I'm hearing.

Sigh. So the instance I'm on is blocked by a decent amount of other instances due to the "free speech" aspect of our terms, plus a couple of the things our instance can do? I just moved to this one and... I know I can move again, but how many times am I going to have to this? There are some things in the block reasons that are worrying though, like trans/homophobia, etc. I'm not sure what to do.

With 2FA being borked you have two options IF you're still logged in.— Go in to your settings > security > 2FA > backup codes and write those down in a safe place.— Switch to using an authentication app, which currently works but do we have faith that it will continue to do so?This is such a fucking disaster. The software I supported in the early '00s was a trash fire that dealt with ACH transactions and we never borked anything this badly.

Not that I don't love everyone who has come here on #MedMastodon but someone has to drag Dr. Sam Ghali (@EM_RESUS on Twitter) over here. It would be a huge loss not to have his weekly #FOAMed and #ECG cases. I'm just a lab tech that had to do ECGs at my last job and I learned SO much from his tweets. I actually can tell when things are wrong now and can identify certain conditions. He's brilliant.Someone has to have an in with him.

@freemo Twitter is going down. And... It's hard to explain but I always feel weird as a lab tech approaching doctors. He's LOVELY, don't take that wrong, but it's generally drilled into us that we don't talk to the docs. And it just kinda carries over. I'll try to catch him on his next post if Twitter is still up.
