@rms It is a carefully chosen symbol, resembling the well known (but not regulated) mobius three arrow symbol. so it appears to be a recycle symbol while in fact it is not more than an indication of the used material. some are recyclable, some not. 1,2 and 5 can be recycled, 2,3 and 4 not. 7 means "all the rest" so it is even useless as a material indicator.

@stux Yesterday was a black page in the history books. I'm afraid of the direction the US is taking. we might end up with 3 totalitarian oligarchic superpowers with an unseen expasion drift and no one to stop them. If Ukraine falls, Georgia will fall, Taiwan will fall, Greenland will fall, then Palestine, then Panama, then the Baltic States, then Canada, then Finland, then Congo, then... I hope that within five years somone reminds me of this post to tell how wrong i was.

@frameworkcomputer this desktop is so cool. As a framework fan, desktop user and a fedora user, i think i know where to look when my current desktop gets to old. I already see a niche of custom front panel tiles in the 3d printing community. Will the plans of those tiles be shared?

@rms i think we can skip the if part, we’re totally going for 4 degrees. 1,5 degrees is already gone. 2 degrees is like we’re driving at 100 mph into a wall but 10 m before we hit it we can still claim we’re not crashed yet. 3 degrees is the realistic we try real hard and we act now scenario. 4 degrees is we have Krusty the clown, Winnie the pooh and Rasputin ruling the three most powerfull nations in the world and the don’t give a **** about the climate.

@rms carbon emission itself falls under the same category. We schould shift our focus to carbon introduction instead. Every liter of oil pumped to the surface will end up in the short carbon cycle in the next 100 years. Contributing to the problem.
