Nursing is a vocation, and a hard one at that. Today nurses must undertake undergraduate training in most countries, like doctors and psychologists. Yet, they are still often underpaid, and the old funded training courses have largely been eradicated. Perhaps it is because it is a traditionally woman dominated profession that this inequality exists, but it is also one that needs to be rectified. Nurses are the backbone and front line of healthcare.#EqualRights4All #nursepay

So, YouTube is the platform where Mark'd, a movie about domestic violence and gaslighting is shared. And what ad is attached to it? A phone app that enables the user to track their partner. You couldn't make this shit up.

Cancel culture doesn't change history, it just ensures future ignorance. Satire and social commentary literature and film give spaces context. Even folk tales were satirical. Banning books (and now movies). You can't airbrush history.

One of my more controversial beliefs...If you are a teacher or work in an institution with vulnerable people, your private life should not be brought into that space. There are a plethora of aspects that create personal identity, and there are other spaces to explore and support identity and orientation. That is not to say a transwoman can't be Ms. Of course she can, but discussing personal orientation in those spaces is unnecessary. By analogy, you wouldn't discuss a preference for BDSM.1/2
