2/2 I tend to do a lot of more creative work in #FreeCAD , so it often disagrees.I finally realised something about 'the tip' I've been mostly ignoring all this time, that explains why my features disappear after I made a change up the tree. Still haven't looked up the right way to handle it.I had 2 models and 2 bodies (3 but I haven't used the button body in the end), and discovered that you can hide one but have is focused, change things and be mad because you don't see the changes ;) Oops.

A dark day today: morning without power (preventive cuts to reduce the damage in case of hits), then about a hour with electricity and then a planned outage.Since it all started, we've got the 2nd Internet provider; can supply the router from a power bank; same for the laptops; and I believe providers have generators too, so we rarely lose the landline Internet now. Much more comfortable. The balcony counts as the fridge too.We are fine, but some other people are not.#KyivPowerCut

@kyle Do you tie a weaver's knot faster than you can thread a heddle? I use weaver's knot if I only rethread one of the loopers in my machines, and I'm not fast at all ๐Ÿ™ˆ

@piggo Thanks! No glazing.I preheat the oven (260 C, no fan) with water in the bottom tray, then score and put the dough in, then switch the oven off for 30 mins. Then switch it on (260, fan) for another about 27 minutes, I keep an eye on it near the end. Then I switch it off and leave the bread inside for a few hours, there is usually still water in the tray so in the end it's not overdry. That's my current technique :)

@kyle That's why I always try to watch first and read later, it's much better this way.

Another #accessibility 3d print for me, a bigger doorknob. Made with the same OpenSCAD file as before, fits over the existing knob and makes it easier to turn. The original knob is a slightly wavy cylinder, so I made the hole just a cylinder, entirely in the #Cura slicer.Turns much easier now! #3DprintingLink to the knob model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1562501

I've started printing flowers for this headband back in the beginning of March, just in case if I didn't find a suitable wreath for her flower costume. I did find it so I put the project away with most flowers printed and no headband. Then I printed the most complicated flower I wanted (purple), and after an unusable headband ๐Ÿ˜ฉ the next model was perfect.Used acrylic tape to fix the flowers to the band, and done.I think the next step is to start using a heat gun for smoothing๐Ÿ˜Ž#3dPrinting

Are there #Mastodon clients already that let you hide all the boosts and/or replies from the feed? I don't see how people don't see that having that all visible is incompatible with chronological feeds. Or, I don't know, limiting one person boosts to 2 a day. I used to be able to comfortably read a feed of 150 people in #LiveJournal, people didn't repost that often there and the slogan 'make original content!' meant "post your images and not work of others".Mostly have to read from the browser.

@kyle Yes, that works, I think those are removed from the feed on server level.

Only one thing is different between the left print and the top of the right print (the bottom is still the same). Both are TPU.I had my profile nearly perfect already, but that one thing was wrong. Can you guess what it was? #3dPrinting #printingTPU #flexibleFilaments

@kyle I still find it unbelievable that people genuinely like Tolstoy. High school trauma ๐Ÿ˜‚ I suspect his bad, in literature sense, language was corrected in the translations too.
