Hi archivist and librarian friends! Got a question.Years ago, my public library had little shelves made out of what seemed to be phase box materials. High quality, durable, light.Any idea what these may be called?We lost our A/V shelving and now our DVDs are on regular book shelving units. They look untidy as hell. A sister branch painted some 2x4s to fix this problem for them, but our manager is worried they'd be used as weapons at our branch.Hence the lightweight, yet durable things I'm asking about. @Rasp My hope with queer cartoons is that many were cut as cost saving horseshit rather than ratings. So execs might greenlight more when the pendulum swings back the other way.

@Rasp I do work at a place where people bring lunches. Though we have the opposite problem. People forget what's theirs and it stays in there forever because no one wants to pitch it and then the fridge stinks.I threw away a container of sour cream after like, a month of being in there.

@apps I just got a friend to install f-droid for NewPipe, (the person she's bumming YouTube+ off of is cancelling it and the commercials are too much now,) and she had to ask me about that popup.Thankfully I'm more adventurous. :PIf/when I ever come out as trans, (as I am VERY trans on here,) to her I'll invite her to Mastodon and get her to use Fedilab. :P

@Rasp I like 'em too. Especially since I have questionable balance, (Yay MS.) When I mentioned this to my BFF who is a motorcyclist, she said, "but they're so fucking ugly." Which still makes me laugh. Its a snow mobile with wheels, its fine. :P
