I haven't written anything in a while and felt the need to write something before I completely lose my momentum. So, here’s a quick summary of how I've shoehorned my workflow into MacOS.https://tomrobinson.io/posts/how-i-use-my-mac/#mac #MacOS #blog #blogpost

@hyde skhd sounds awesome. I wish I’d known about that before buying software. Prime really elevated my tmux game. I really like Chris@Machine for Neovim configuration stuff. Though I’ve learned a trick or two from your blog in the few short weeks I’ve been reading it too. :D

@hyde @joel @kev love seeing all of your workflows. Have you done a vim weekly tips on how you create an manage your snippets? If so, I’d love to see it. If not… future vim weekly tips idea? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@hyde me too. Hopefully there isn’t about to be an explosion of bot spam. 🤞

My home server is probably due for an upgrade. I wrote a small #blog post about it. If you've built a home server and have any suggestions about it, I'd love to hear them. https://tomrobinson.io/posts/macserver-is-dying/#selfhosted #linux #servers

@hyde huh… that’s an interesting thought. An old trash can Mac could be an interesting server platform. I’ll look into that!

@hyde @benjaminhollon hope you end up loving it. Check out some of the native LSP stuff. Mason.nvim is a great plug-in to make getting up and running with it pretty straightforward.

@benjaminhollon @hyde the biggest project for me was getting everything split out of one massive RC file and then converting it to lua. The nice thing is, as you said, you can do it in stages and still have it be perfectly functional in the meanwhile.

@hyde ahh, here I was thinking it was elaborating on what you were trying to accomplish or something. The only utility I’ve personally used besides Power Point (because office life runs on MS garbage) is Suckless Sent. I don’t really know if that qualifies for “nice looking” but it is very simple and effective. Curious to see what others have used.

@BrodieOnLinux is there a place you’re sharing your Awesome config?

@Haijo7 @BrodieOnLinux thanks, I figured it was pretty close to default. I like to reference a good config for a sane baseline when checking something out. I’ve always used DWM and only ever installed awesome once and played with it for a few minutes. I might give it another try.

Hey, @hyde, do you happen to have your awesomewm config posted anywhere? I was reading your blog and saw you'd been using it for over a decade. I've been thinking about giving it a try (after using dwm for a few years now), but I always like to have a sane example config to reference when I'm getting started with something new. 🙂
