The wife and I went to see the Bellamy Brothers Friday night. We had 2nd row seats to the left (isle seats). I drug the wife out of her seat right before the show started to hit the head. When we got back to our seats, she asked, "Is there going to be an intermission?" Me: "There will be no breaks between songs! These boys are pros, and they bring it!" Their new drummer (Human metronome Collin Dobbs) was worth the price of admission. His energy is infectious. The young man was living his best life. After the show, lead guitarist Randy Hiebert (Winnipeg) stayed on stage to greet and shake anyone's hand that wanted to meet him, and he was genuinely happy about it. We'll go see them on year 51 (next year) if they are still going.

Kids and grandkids finally left. We made a precooked turkey for the first time, and it came out perfect. They picked the bird clean and took out a little over half of a large ham. I made a Dream pie, and the wife made pumpkin and apple pies. We weren't even suppose to have dinner this year, but my kids invited themselves over.

I fucking hate holidays! My son's best friend committed suicide yesterday because he was fired right before Christmas, and he gave up. I wish he hadn't felt soo alone. My entire family loved him, and would have done anything for him. He was like an extra kid in my house growing up, and it fucking sucks.

My wife and I were on the way to Paula Deen's to eat fried butter and say, "Nigger," and we almost died. We were right at the Stone/Barry county line on 76 when a cement truck came around the corner taking up 3/4 of our lane. My wife was driving, and she went GTA style off the road, through the ditch, past a tree, and then we went Dukes of Hazzard style back on the road. She was able to regain control. No damage to our SUV. With what she had to work with, she did a great job. The waifu deserves head pats this afternoon.
