       @simon But it wasn't really an accident. It was inherent in the design. And "we" can't make them stop because the people who created them don't see the profit in doing so.

       @simon Perhaps, but they've invested a great deal of time and money to create systems that do lie to people. It's not like the lying is rare or subtle, either. If it wasn't a deliberate choice to press onward with deployment than commercialization, then it's an improbably big oversight.

       @simon I remember going there as a kid. All the photos creeped me out. I think I've been once as an adult. All the stuff made with human hair creeped me out.
