@mike I finally pulled the trigger on deleting my Hatebook account the other day. I don't know why I delayed for so long, considering I stopped using it years ago.I stopped after my second brother-in-law verbally assaulted me on there.

@fedops @mike I make use of the Digital Wellbeing settings to activate Bedtime Mode at 22:00: Greyscale, Do Not Disturb, and notification icons in the tray and lock screen are hidden from view. I also have it setup so starred contacts can bypass DND, in case my mother needs to get a hold of me in the middle of the night.Digital Wellbeing definitely helps me put the devices (phone and tablet) away when it's time for bed.

@mike I thought about keeping it, because a mobile game I sometimes play backs up its data there, in case I change phones, but I don't play that game enough to warrant keeping my account.If my sisters need to get a hold of me, my phone number will most likely never change. But, I doubt they'll ever need me... Either that, or their husbands won't let them contact me.

@pyre35 @mike That's it exactly. Smartphones give us the world at our fingertips. Anything and everything available whenever we need it. But, that created generations of people addicted to instant gratification. They binge one thing — a season of a series, or the latest fad — until they tire of it, but the addiction hungers for more.When I was younger, the gratification came from waiting a day, or a whole week, to find out what happened.

@selea What really wakes me up in the morning is when I'm doing Single Lane Alternating Traffic and an emergency vehicle on a call needs to get through.Rush all the cars currently in the single lane through, making sure those waiting stay put, and waving my hard hat at the emergency vehicle to tell them it's safe to proceed. Once it's through, pause, resume breathing and resume single lane operations.The heart rate slows down eventually, but it's better than coffee!
