I just had to send a legal complaint to Samsung who have decided to completely ignore EU law and help themselves to data from my device if I wish to use one of their hard drives... the following toots are the complaint in full.

@hehemrin @WinstonSmith@techhub.social @neil I’ve never used it but not being FOSS would be a concern for me. If we go back to the days of Opera Mobile which at one point had collected more behavioral data than even Google had we can see the risks (this data was a large part of the value Opera marketed when trying to get acquired).Browsers see our most sensitive of data - in my mind that means they must be open source to be trusted.#privacy

@n0r @hehemrin @neil I dont use messengers to write to family and I don't disclose anything sensitive when I talk to friends/colleagues on messenger. From a #SurveillanceCapitalism perspective my browser is far more of a concern than any other application as I use it for almost everything (I generally refuse to use "apps" as I have less control over the data they collect).#privacy

I want *all* #marketing people to make a New Year's Resolution for 2023 NOT to send any ILLEGAL direct marketing - and this should not be like the gym New Year's Resolution where you do it for 3 weeks then go back to your usual habits - you have to STOP this shit, because I have started suing companies for this and 2023 will be my "I'm gonna sue you." year.
